I agree with a lot of the hate he and his game is getting to some extent. From ~40 hours of the beta I did have a lot of fun with what was there and stuff will (hopefully) get added until what he had in his mind is complete. Also if anything modders will turn the game into what people have always wanted so I've got my hopes up for that. I agree that there's some strange things about this but I'm just happy that I am able to actually purchase the game properly now and pay the developer of the game I had to pirate all those years ago. Beta releases are already shady enough and this is a huge red flag imo. Seems like a cash grab and it's possible there is either little intention to put much more effort into it or no none at all. I'm skeptical that it disappeared years ago off the face of the earth and suddenly reappeared out of no where with hardly any new content from the looks like it. Either way if what they said is true about the price being close to what it was for the alpha, it's definitely worth it and you will get your moneys worth from it. More updates have been confirmed so maybe it'd be best to wait a bit. If you read the complaints people have I would still check it out when it releases and if it isn't for you then just refund it. I'm still having a blast and plan on buying the game the second it drops. It is definitely really fun as is but it doesn't feel like 6 years worth of time was spent on it.
